Post-Tensioned Buildings

Buildings with monostrand unbonded tendons post-tensioned slabs are becoming a widely used application of prestressed concrete. This method achieves performance and construction improvements over other construction methods. However, in order to reap the benefits of this method, proficiency is required in both structural design and construction.

The company is specialized in the spliced girder method. The company has developed a special method for optimization of post-tension tendon profiles. This method, while applied in spliced girder bridges, allows using pre-cast girders of standard sections for longer spans. Zohar Bridge is composed of standard pre-cast AASHTO VI girders with 52 meter spans. B9 bridge in road 431 is composed of standard channel girders 1.80 meter deep with 54 meter span, making this bridge one of the largest span/depth ratio for bridges composed of pre-cast elements.
